Marching Band
From the summer to the end of October, the Sparta High School Band is known as the Sparta Marching Bulldogs as they focus on putting together a field show for the year to play at home football games and more importantly, take the show to competitions. Marching Band takes very much practice and a good effort, but in the end, it is well worth the experience gained.
Pep Band
After marching season, the band takes to cheering on our boys and girls basketball teams at all of our home games, by playing a wide variety of different songs to get both the crowd and the athletes pumped up during the game. In the past, the Pep Band has had the opportunity to play at the basketball state finals, being chosen from all the other pep bands in the state.
Jazz Band
Jazz Band is a group which specializes in playing jazz music to perform at the school's seasonal concerts and also performing music for the community. This is a class requiring you to be at school an hour earlier for practice each morning. To join the group, you must be in band and have permission from the director.
